As the start of the Alaska Highway and the end of steel for the Northern Alberta Railway, Dawson Creek has become a central hub for activity in the area. Tourism Dawson Creek was established in 2001 to support the development and diversification of the tourism industry. Tourism Dawson Creek works closely with local business owners and operators to promote the city, infrastructure, events, and all other operations.
